About Me
My name is Chana (Jenny) Weisberg, and I am the creator/mommy/eema of Jewish Pregnancy Online- which has, with the help of G-d and the support of a large percentage of the Jewish pregnant women in the Universe, become a sort of big deal. The site has been getting more and more popular since I created it in 2001 (using the instructions provided in the Idiots Guide to Creating a Website!), and this past year the site received over 800,000 hits and 92,000 unique visitors!
Believe me, I cannot begin to fathom how many people that is. It's not only that I am really terrible at math. It's that it truly never occurred to me that anyone outside of my immediate family would every actually see this site. Who would have ever believed in a million years that in the end this project would help so many women!
Just goes to show you, if you make the teeniest effort to do good, G-d can change the world! You lift a finger and G-d can move mountains!!
I graduated from Bowdoin College and Hebrew University (MA) a long time ago, and also had the time of my life studying Torah in Jerusalem for three years. I am the author of two books Expecting Miracles: Finding Meaning and Spirituality in Pregnancy through Judaism (Urim, 2004)and One Baby Step at a Time: Seven Secrets of Jewish Motherhood (Urim, 2007). I also love writing articles about life, motherhood, Judaism, etc.
I live with my husband, Rabbi Joshua Weisberg, and our five utterly amazing children Hadas (9), Hallel (7), Maayan (5), Moriah (2), and Yoel (3 months) who see to it that I am never ever bored. We live in the belly button of the belly button of the universe- downtown Jerusalem.
